weekend...

off friday...so i spent the day with sourdough...mixed early in the morning...it was ready to bake by 10pm...with j stuck in phoenix for the night due to a canceled flight it was a nice way to spend a friday night...

while bread was in the oven i was able to get everything ready for a saturday morning ride...filled bottles for the fridge to chill overnight...packed food...gear...even did a once over before bed and declared myself ready for ~40 mile ride...woke saturday to do the routine and was out the door at 8.15...at the spot at 8.30 and was getting ready to ride when hmm...no helmet...back home again to get it...riding by 9...nice ride...good route...fast at times...climbing at times...flat at times...thanks to my training partner for the lesson is flat fixing...i had a good time...opted to skip the run off the bike to see the husband :)

eat shower...back on the bike...this time the mtn bike...for some sunny afternoon shows in the grass for sxsw...home for dinner and back out to waterloo park for more shows as the evening progressed...ended up at emo's for the donnas...all this and in bed by 12...gotta love it

sunday solo run...with ipod...first time in a while...who doesn't love a little gangsters paradise while running...drove to the trail head closest to my house...and ran from I-35 to the dam back to town to the pfluger bridge and back around to I-35...totally nice run...enjoyed being out there...was able to just think a bit...was planning dinner party stuff for monday when i remembered that i have swimming on mondays right when i had planned to have guests...so like a jerk i had to cancel plans...argh i feel so badly...i hope i can make it up to them...anyway...very different from last weeks long run which was not so much fun...7.21 miles 1h 10minutes...

sourdough waffles for second breakfast...cleaned the house...got my homework done...roasted a chicken...watched a movie...very nice weekend...

awww... even though you feel bad, keep in mind that if it were the other way around, you would be understanding... and your dinner party friends are probably just as understanding as you are!

Yay for waffles! And I'm roasting chicken tonight - great minds think alike :)

Are you good with numbers? Remeber 'Four'. When loading your bike into your car you need four things: bike, helmet, bike shoes, pump. Assuming you keep a $20 in your bike saddle/tool bag, all else can be foraged for, begged for, borrowed or forgone. Four.
