weekend (not) training

got up saturday to bake the bread i had started the day before...and while on my second cup of coffee made sourdough pancakes with the left over starter...seriously these are the best pancakes...

drove over to the training center to con some one (with my second loaf of bread) into putting my pedals back on my bike...hey i know...one step at a time right...ha!...the team had done an indoor spin so i knew peeps would be hanging out...chatted with michelle (yeah! hadn't seen her since the post imaz gathering and was nice to chat w/o too much wine :O) logan, mo and some other team-mates...nice to see everyone...

home to get the farm share and to whole foods for the other groceries....then home again to cook indian food...oh man...this was some of the best stuff we have made...rogan josh...w/chicken instead of lamb and sambar with black eyed peas, sweet potatoes, turnips, eggplant and home made sambar powder...soooo good...still in search of curry leaves...

watched wall-e and went to a christmas party...stayed out way late for me! 11.30 i know...such a party animal...

sunday up early and off to decker to bike escort the double decker peeps (two 13.1 mile loops of a very hilly course) i escorted Derick (sp?) who ran the darn thing in under 4 hours...totally impressed...we chatted a lot along the way...i think he was happy for the distraction...he did awesome...saw coach amy, mark, chuck, jeremiah, some of last years rogues, emma and megan and cindy too...nice to see so many folks i knew out there...and my 26.2 mile ride at ~7mph was good....i was on the bike again!...it worked i worked...all is well...think i might try a spin sometime...we will see...

opted for a no study weekend as reward for two very solid A's (one -1 and one a 102) on my tests friday...hung out and read the back log of magazines that i have...played in the yard trying to get some of the leaf debris up...and just relaxed...it was very nice...j and i had our traditional sunday dinner of a roasted chicken...some veggies from the farm...and watched atonement...a super nice weekend...

It was great to see you at Decker yesterday Jess. Thanks so much for volunteering. The support you and the rest of the T3'ers provided was immense. It was a vital element to the success of our race for the double deckers. Thank you!!
